After a….very intense deep re-read of the series, I realized that the territory is large, and the mountains are not within viewing range of Velaris. So, it deserved its own unique painting.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI pulled inspiration from so many things to make this painting. Mount Rainier is visible from my neighborhood on clear days, and even after 7 years, I am consistently overwhelmed by its size and how the atmosphere around it bends to its scale. Watching Rainier at sunsets influenced the complimentary color palette of deep violet and gold. I also had so much fun incorporating some of Golden’s Interference paint - it shimmers in the light, bringing the piece a little magic. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e_\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003ci\u003eThe art depicted on the products listed for sale is wholly original to me and has been approved by Sarah J.
